Garfield Elementary School (Medina, Ohio) 3rd graders had the opportunity to join forces with SPARK Medina to learn about food insecurity and to demonstrate collaboration and communication while discovering how to be respectful citizens. SPARK Medina ignited the passion for our 3rd graders to be resilient lifelong learners!
Thanks to the generous donations from Garfield families for the 3rd grade food drive, we were able to share food with our neighbors through the Little Free Food Pantries on Prospect Street, East North Street, and at Cups Café and Hope Recovery Community. We even visited two in person! Thanks to Garfield families and these amazing classes who were attentive & enthusiastic. We do understand why they say #Garfieldisgreatest!
SPARK Medina is a brand new local nonprofit organization started by three Medina moms who have a mission to engage youth & young adults in becoming change makers for life while filling needs in Medina. For more information, visit their website: https://www.sparkmedina.org.
